아시아나 항공 보잉 777기가 샌프란시스코 국제공항에 현지시각 6일 11시 30분에 착륙 도중 추락하였다. 항공편 214번은 서울로부터 승객 291명과 승무원 16명을 태우고 오는 도중 활주로 28L에 추락했다. 두명의 사망자가 보고되었으며 센프란시스코 종합병원으로 옮겨진 10명의 승객들은 중태 상태라고 보고되었다. 종합해서, 관계자는 181명은 병원에 입원하였고 한 명은 실종 상태라고 밝혔다.
