Advanced Search

Advanced Search will become a default feature on your wiki on November 28. This new interface allows you to perform specialized searches on the search page, even if you don’t know any search syntax. Advanced Search originates from the German Community’s Technical Wishes project. It's already a default feature on German, Arabic, Farsi and Hungarian Wikipedia. Besides, more than 40.000 users across all wikis have tested the beta version. Feedback is welcome on the central feedback page.

보존된 기사의 오탈자

레이더와 레이다는 둘 다 사용되는 단어이므로 오탈자라고 보기 힘들지 않나요? 한국어 위키백과에서 레이다라고 문서 변경을 진행한 것은 알고 있습니다만 레이더 또한 대중이 사용하는 단어입니다. — Revi 2019년 1월 7일 (월) 15:23 (KST)

뉴:관리자 선거 피선거권 조항 개정

현 조항은...

선거 개시를 기준으로 사용자 등록을 한 이후 30일이 지나고 전체 한국어 프로젝트(위키백과, 위키낱말사전, 위키책, 위키문헌, 위키뉴스)에서 총 기여 200이 넘는 사용자는 선거에 출마할 수 있습니다. 인큐베이터에 있었을 때의 Wn/ko 편집도 모두 포함됩니다.

입니다만, 한국어 위키뉴스의 관리자로 출마할 때 한국어 위키뉴스의 기여가 아닌 다른 프로젝트의 기여를 기준으로 하는 것이 합당하지 않다는 생각을 지울 수가 없네요. 위키뉴스의 기여만 200을 보는 것으로 개정할 것을 제안합니다. — Revi 2019년 1월 7일 (월) 15:31 (KST)

FileExporter beta feature

Coming soon: the beta feature FileExporter

A new beta feature will soon be released on all wikis: The FileExporter. It allows exports of files from a local wiki to Wikimedia Commons, including their file history and page history. Which files can be exported is defined by each wiki's community: Please check your wiki's configuration file if you want to use this feature.

The FileExporter has already been a beta feature on mediawiki.org, meta.wikimedia, deWP, faWP, arWP, koWP and on wikisource.org. After some functionality was added, it's now becoming a beta feature on all wikis. Deployment is planned for January 16. More information can be found on the project page.

Supposed admin named "편집 필터"

I was checking the list of administrators and found not one but two admins. I checked the contributions of the admin named "편집 필터" and found none. I think this is mighty suspicious. I checked global account info and found that the user doesn't have global account. Nevertheless, I found out that there are similar names (e.g. [1][2][3][4]), most of which are locally blocked at ko-wiki. What to do about the user (if not admin) named "편집 필터"? Usually Abusefilter extension automatically grants sysop permission to enforce a block when the filter is set to block anyone who hits certain filter. This is disabled on Korean Wikinews (and most of the wikis) but when WMF Tech needed to fix a bug with Abuse Filter, they just promoted the "Abuse Filter" account to sysop and fixed it with the system account "Abuse Filter".
